Fees and getting paid
When someone subscribes to your Studio Subscription Tier, they are charged as per the behaviour and timeframes of the store from which they made the purchase. After that, the revenue moves through the following stages:
- Estimated
- Available
- Withdrawal
Estimated Earnings
Purchases made to App Stores
Earnings from purchases via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store do not show on your account immediately.
Once we receive the information on purchases and revenue from each of the stores, we compute the share of revenue that you have earned and add this to your account, shown in your studio settings as "Estimated Earnings". Depending on the store, this can be between 7 and 68 days after the purchase was made by the user.
Estimated earnings is the net value that we expect to offer to you for withdrawal, excluding the cost of getting it to you in your configured currency. That means that it is less the Fees as described below, excluding:
- Your withdrawal transaction currency conversion fees
- Your withdrawal transfer fees
Available Earnings
All Purchases
Once we receive the revenue from the stores, we move the appropriate amount of your pending earnings into "Available Earnings". At this point, you may make a withdrawal. Read Starting a withdrawal on how to do this.
Payments
If your store is configured for the United States, or United Kingdom, you payout payments will be made via domestic transfer. Otherwise, all other countries and regions will be made via international transfer methods available between the United Kingdom and that country or region.
Fees
Purchases made to App Stores
Below is the list of fees and other deductions made to the gross price of the purchase to arrive at your earnings payout.
- Sales taxes and other applicable end-user taxes: variable, depending on the region
- Store commission: 30%
- Other store fees: variable depending on the region and currency
- Movestack commission: 9.5% + 0.25 USD per purchase (or equivalent value in the payout currency of the studio)
- Payout transaction fees: variable depending on the payout destination
Adjusting your prices for the store commission
Since the stores take 30% as their commission, we appreciate that you may want to factor this into the pricing of your tiers. To make this easier, we've included the ability for you to indicate to us to do this calculation for you, and to set the price of subscriptions offered off the stores excluding this commission.
Since we currently only offer Movestack via the app stores, when you ask us to include the commission in your price, it will affect all the prices. However, we store the original price that you configured and we will use this price when we begin to offer subscriptions on the web.
